Join The Board of Directors
We are seeking new Board members and you or someone you know could be the perfect fit!
Service on the Board of Directors of the Food Forest Collective is an important component in helping the Beacon Food Forest and your community.
Our work supports the financial, policy, and administrative needs for the growth and maintenance of the Beacon Food Forest community garden, as well as its educational programs, native guild areas, food bank plots, land share areas, accessibility infrastructure, and BIPOC community garden.
The Board of Directors provides accountability for the overall operations of the organization (such as reviewing budgets, hiring staff, and oversight of committees and activities), and serves as a contact for landowners, partnering city organizations, and other parties interested in working with the Beacon Food Forest. The Board reviews all BFF activities for consistency with the rules, principles, and mission of the Beacon Food Forest.
By joining the Board of Directors, you are committing to attending meetings one to two nights per month, and to sharing your time, skills, and experience with the Beacon Food Forest project.
